                    The lapping of water as it climbs higher and higher appears caught within silver travertine as Cattaneo pays homage to the fluctuating waves pervading Venice’s shores. With legs shaped like water drops the very architecture of the bench recalls the floating city itself becoming overwhelmed by water. Yet it’s height (70cm) still sits below the highest Acqua Alta on record.
