Drapes of dyed textile in mango leaf and turmeric by Benin’s artisans reveal and obscure in equal measure. Like the Venetian spice routes that inspired its palette, the work is a choreography of folding and unfolding, where gesture becomes geography, and emotion lingers in the pleats. What results is not mere composition, but a horizon: a rethought surface, real and imagined, embodied, and always in motion.
