A compositional pairing of metal, glass, and light. The glass is dipped while still molten into bronze powder, producing an alchemical effect of shimmering extraterrestrial. The title refers to a heightened manner of perception: an exploration of layer upon layer, yielding beauty but also ongoing mystery, a material metaphor for Irene’s questing sensibility.
